Logo Usage Instructions

State logos are available for download. The following guide should help answer any questions you may have regarding which logo version best suits your needs. Please remember this is only a guide and logo uses may not be listed. If you should have any questions please contact your printer or graphic designer.

Should I use the large or small version? The small versions are appropriate for most applications, including but not limited to web applications, T-shirts, print advertisements, and stickers. The large versions are supplied for use in large displays such as giant banners and signage projects.

At 300 dpi, the "small version" is a 5" x 2.5" printout

I want to use color, which logo should I use?

You have two color options, 4-color and 3-color.

4-Color (4-Color process)

  • Web pages (convert to JPEG or GIF)
  • Collateral
  • Inserts
  • Newspaper advertising

3-Color (3 flat colors)

  • Use in "spot color" jobs
  • Signage
  • Imprinting
  • Embroidery
I do not want to use color, which logo should I use?

You have two options, grayscale and black and white. Grayscale has a slight color tone in the patch, while B/W has no color tone in the patch.

Grayscale

  • B/W or one color printing
  • B/W newspaper advertising

Black and White

  • B/W or one color printing - Signage
  • B/W newspaper advertising - Embroidery
  • Imprinting
