    Arrow Medical Professions in ARNG

Hello Respected ARNG Personnel and Forum Members,

I am currently a High School Senior and Cadet with the Civil Air Patrol and looking forward to joining the Army's ROTC program with a full scholarship. I will be majoring in BS Nursing and I am wondering if I can take my profession into the ARNG. Futher, I had the oppurtunity to talk to a close friend of mine, who happens to be Lt. Col and Commander of a local National Guard Base, about this and he said there should be no problems. However, because he is leaving I haven't had the chance to talk to him since. I was wondering if anyone sees any potential problems that may come up after ROTC and joining the ARNG as a Nurse? Thanks for your help!

I can not think of any reason that would keep you from executing this plan. I think it is a good one since you will get double training. You can never know too much.

Speak to your state's Officer Strength Manager, and apply for a three year ARNG ROTC scholarship to pay for college.
