Are National Guard Armories opened on Saturdays? I'm trying to get ahold of my recruiter because I'm supposed to go back to MEPS on Monday, but I've only heard from her once since the last time that I went.

Do you have your recruiter's cell phone number? You can give them a call. A lot of times recruiters might not be in their office. Leave a message.
Do yourself a favor. Go and talk to the Army recruiter and find out what they have to offer you. Once you know the opportunities available to you by joining the Army compare them with what you know you can get with the Army National Guard. If you really feel that the benefits and opportunities offered by the National Guard are the best fit for your future goals, don't let your experience with the initial National Guard recruiter prevent you from getting them. Go to the main office and talk to the NCOIC (this would be the office recruiting manager) and ask to be assigned a new recruiter. They should have no problem at all with your request and that will help you get what you want. Don't let this experience discourage you.

It sounds like you know exactly what you want. Start getting yourself physically and mentally ready (this comes from someone who spent 15 years with the active Army and knows the rigors of that way of life). If what you're looking for is the adventure and continuous service, then this would be a good fit for you. Good luck with your endeavors.
You already have know enough information about the Guard to know that after your initial commitment to the Army (and whenever you're ready to go to college full time) we would probably be the best fit to help you accomplish your educational goals while continuing your service to our great nation. Be a proud soldier and represent us well!
