My baby is at basic what can I do to help?

My youngest is at Basic Training in Ft. Benning, does anyone have ideas of what I can do here at home? I mail him every day and although it's only been a week for him I feel I should be doing more.
I have his address so everyone can mail him, but I just wish it were faster.
Can anyone tell me what it was like for them when their child was at Basic, or what they went through while they were there.

Just by writting to him,telling him that you love him, and showing him your support your already doing alot. Im pretty sure he appreciates it very much. Anyways you could send him something from home that he loves or misses. I hope that this helps.
