Default New Jersey, MP and questions

Okay, Now I'm getting serious about joining the Guard part-time, and I want to get as much clear as possible. So heres my list of questions for the NJ Guard.

    1) What will part-time training be like for my MOS (MP)
    2) How long is the training for MP?
    3) Where are the one weekend per month meetings held?
    4) I assume I get paid for my part-time duties, how much might that be?
    5) Since my MOS is in the top 10, how much would my total state-cash-bonus be? and when might I recieve it?

Thanks in advanced for the help, and sorry for being sort of repeative, but I want to be sure I'm doing the right thing.

Glad to see you want to be an mp. first your weekend drills will really depend on the mission of you unit. some of the training will be refresher training to keep you sharp in your skills. the units that i have been in sometimes worked with local law enforcement also. second the mp training will be osut which means both basic and ait combined and will be approx 19 weeks. third the weekend drills will be held at the nearest mp company to where you live. check with a local recruiter to find out where the closest mp company is. your pay will depend on your rank you can find a pay scale on this site. as far as the bonuses until the 31st of this month you could possibly qualify for up to $20,000. the bonus is paid 1/2 after you graduate ait and 1/2 3 years later

Many people ask the question, what have I done in my life to make a difference. Soldiers dont have to ask that question!!

There are MP slots all over the state. Since we are in a transition, there are changes going on all over the place. The closest armory to you is Somerset. Since 31B is in the top 20, you get $10,000 but you might be eligible for other bonuses up to $20,000.

31B is in the "Top Ten" so you'll be eligible for the $20,000. But that all may change June 1st. groundup may have the newest info, not sure.
