    Default Entry Level...

What are the NG's policies on Entry Level Separation from other branches, such as the Navy...I know the Army stated that I'd just have to wait 2 years, and I think get a waiver...but NG sounds like a better path to me. I was seperated due to personal issues goin on with family, which affected my schooling and ability to adapt to the military life and work with others. But, those issues have been settled now, and if possible I'd like to be a warrior instead of a sailor...

You should be able to enlist with a waiver as long as you show that the issues which cause your separation are resolved. You'll be classified as a GNPS (Glossary Non Prior Service) which means that you won't be eligible to receive any of the current bonuses and incentives. However, you're eligible to receive the GI Bill and the GI Bill Kicker (if you scored 50 and above on your AFQT) because these are entitlements. You can also now choose any of the periods of enlistments offered to NPS (Non Prior Service) instead of having to serve the full remainder of your MSO (Military Statutory Obligation) on drill status. Contact your local recruiter and bring a copy of your DD214 with you when you meet him/her.
