quick ship bonus

I might be joining with the quick ship option to get to basic training right away and I have seen stuff on the site about a quick ship bonus. I haven't had the chance to ask my recruiter yet, so I was just wondering if anyone knoew anything about this, like how much it is? Thanks.

With the quick ship bonus, you can get an extra $5,000 added to your bonus is you ship to basic training within 45 days of enlisting (or an off-peak bonus if you ship between October 1st and May 1st). This only applies if you're not already getting a 20,000 bonus, because 20,000 is the highest bonus you can get. If you're getting a 15,000 bonus or less, the quick ship or off-peak bonus can raise your enlistment bonus.

Yes...the off peak bonus is also $5000. It is possible to ship within 1 or 2 weeks especially during off peak season. It all depends on what training seats are available for your MOS. These bonuses (quick ship and off peak) are only available to Non-prior service, because prior service soldiers don't need to ship to baisc training.
