Does anyone know how to get on one of the many Embedded training teams going to Afghanistan? I have deployed once there in 07-08 and got to do a little work with those guys and really enjoyed it and want to go back and it again.

the only way I know of being attached to units deploying is through the Tour of Duty website. just google "tour of duty army" and you can find it. I don't know of any other way of doing it though

How do you register for the tour of duty website? I tried to log in to it using ako but it said that it was unauthorized.

pretty sure when i did it I just used my ako login and pw. of course, that was before all of this FOUO nonsense.. nowadays I use a cac reader that I bought on amazon for 5 bucks to do all of my army related stuff. I havent tried to get on TOD with ako since I got that.

Yea I figured it out and got in. I did not see any combat tours for 11Bs. Where can I go from here?
