Hey I'm just wondering what a deployment to Kosovo is like? What kinda
Stuff will I be doing there?

I know there are WAARNG guys deployed to Turkey and Greece, but never knew we still had Soldiers going to Kosovo... I would very much like to hear about this as well.

There is an NG Engineer Co. (Vertical) right across the yard from me on my FOB in Afghanistan.

As a 13B I don't know what you would be doing. Most likely a SECFOR mission pulling security. I know a few combat engineers that have depoyed there for route clearance/land mine removal. Not very fun to say the least. I imagine a deployment in Kosovo would be a lot like a deployment to Kuwait. Lots of sitting around on your hands.

I deploy to Kosovo in a about a year. Once you go you should share your experiences. I am curious as well. Been reading up. Seems like a tame tour is inbound.

Apparently the AD guys are also going to Kosovo. I have a friend at Ft. Benning that's deploying to Kosovo in a couple months.
