I'm fixing to SMP and try to find an aviation unit to drill in as a cadet, I was wondering if I go through Army Flight School and stuff how would I go about becoming a civilian pilot also?

After completing flight school, you will be eligible to apply for a commercial rotary wing helicopter license with instrument privileges. They offer seminars/classes to "help" you through the written test. Someone at Ft. rucker will be able to help you out on the latest POC.

Mr. Lyman is correct. You can sign up to take the FAA written test while at flight school. Cost varies but it’s around $100. Once you have passed the written test they will give you instructions on how to take your test score and your flight school certificate and mail it in to receive you private pilot’s license with instrument rating.
