So, I've recently discovered that my child will be born during my second month of BCT...
Will I be able to leave to see my child and my wife?
Or am I stuck at BCT until I'm finished?
On a side note..
I'm going to Fort Jackson, SC.

Your wife will need to contact the red cross once she goes into labor and you will be contacted through the red cross. Most likely you'll be given an opportunity to come home for just a couple days.
Remember though, you'll have to make up any training you miss. If you miss too much training you may have to be recycled to another class.

Well said. The Red Cross is the link between your family and your unit anytime you're on AD orders and there is an emergency. Their intervention is REQUIRED.
