Being a member of the Army National Guard means that you may, at some point, be activated or deployed to serve your country. There are ways to help you go through college before you are deployed. If you enroll in ROTC while you're in college, you are not deployable until you graduate. The National Guard also has an enlistment option called "College First" that ensures that you don't get pulled out of school to deploy. (at least for a period of time).
