This is probably a stupid question but I'm wondering if LDS (Mormonism) Church service is available at BCT.I recently converted to the LDS faith and would like to know. Thanks in advance for the replies!

What happens at BCT if you don't attend the church services?
Negative Star Trooper.
Depends on the installation.
At Ft. Jackson they do not currently have Pentecostal services. So I went to one of our local churches.
They tend to lump all protestants together.
It's really based on the faiths of the chaplains, if there is great enough need they will contract local clergy to provide services.
But there should be LDS services no matter where you go.
Remember Chaplains are here to serve your needs no matter what faith you are so if you are in a unit with a chappy of different tradition still work with him/her to get your needs met. We're here to support your religious need no matter your faith.

The options at Ft. Benning for my battalion were: Protestant, Cat holic, Lutheran, Jewish, LDS, and Muslim.

*Not a recruiter or retention NCO. YMMV.*
if for some reason they don't have your religion. They are required to give you 1 hour of "reflection time" for your needs.

Is it possible to change services weekly, like if you don't know what you believe or do you have to declare and stick it out?
LOTS of recruits attended one serivce at FT J. because they were given wine , and oreos, and the leader didn't care if the slept.
It was cool though, I think they dug it.
Not all chapels services are equal. They will have some for permanent party and others for BCT. Some Chaplains have more exiting services than others.
You should be able to get around to different ones.
I loved to hear the recruits getting smoked on Sunday afternoons. Fabulous. Or they'd have them stand in formation for hours. ah......so relaxin.....
Thanks for the replies everyone!
