Will your employer not be willing to fly you home once a month for drill?

Speak to your chain of command about the Inactive National Guard (ING). This coding status means that you do not attend drill (or draw pay or benefits) for a period of time.

    Please note:
    1. Any service obligation you have is frozen (i.e., if you signed for two years, that two years will be waiting for you when you come back home).
    2. You can't draw a bonus while in the ING.
    3. You are not eligible for promotion while in the ING.
    4. You are still subject to mobilization. If you have a stabilization contract, then you need to ask how ING status affects it.

Could the Guard not carry him Constructive Attendance again, no pay no benefits?
