Default Could I attend classes at the University in the fall?

If I signed up sometime this week when would Basic Training begin? And could I still attend college this fall? I have already been accepted to the college I want, but I am thinking about joining the guard to help pay for those expenses. My first day of school begins on August 18.

If you signed up this weekend you could go to BCT this summer if you are able to get a slot. It all depends if you can, the chances are high but if you do not get a slot they will just put you in a slot for next summer so it does not affect your college. The Guard would be a great way to pay for your college dues. You would attend drill or RSP during your wait for BCT.

When you get in contact with your local recruiter, make sure you mention your situation and ask about a "Split Option" enlistment.
