Well if your out of shape, you should do 3 things to help you over come BCT and AIT, 1 step: Start RUNNING! Running is key, and i advise you to run everyday, make sure that you have a good pair of running shoes and that you run untill you cannot run anymore, If you think you cant run a mile, then run what you can and walk the rest of the way, but everyday or everyweek try to run a little more untill you can run 2 miles non-stop. 2nd Step: Work on Push-ups, you should do them everyday, if you can't do 1 push-up then simply work elevated, what i mean is work from a counter top and then start working your way until you can do them on the floor. 3rd step: start working on Situps.
These 3 things should help you greatly if you want to get into shape and prepare yourself for BCT and AIT.
RUN!! If you don't like to run... too bad. Run now and keep up later or suffer for it. PUSH!! Do 'em right... all the way down. Do as many as you can, and then go to your knees and do more. SIT!! If you hurt after the first day you try, then you're on the right track. But really, you need to run now so that you are used to it when you get there. It *****. We know, but you want it to **** now, NOT at BCT.
