Interested in joining

I just got out of the Army on June 16th and am thinking of joining the guard. The only reason I got off active duty was because of my daughter wanting to stay here until graduation and AD will not work with you on this. If I was to join the guard does this mean I will be in one location the whole time (unless we depoly)? Also, is it hard to get into the National Guard AGR program?
I was an E5 and served 9 1/2 years on active duty. My MOS was 42L. I know they are all converting...I did the HR certification course but, couldn't get my MOS changed because I signed a declination of continued service. I also lost my promotable status.

SGT, you won't have to move due to the NG. There are usually AGR slots all over the place, just have to find them.
