Hello, my name is JP Adingra and I am 17 years of age. I have just enlisted in the New Jersey National guard with 31b(Military Police) MOS. I would like to be a commisioned officer in the Guard. My recruiter advised me to join the ROTC program. The thing is, I currently have 30 college credits and will have 48 credits before BCT and AIT and finally 65 credits by late august of 2007. I received an asvab score of 62 and a GT score of 112 and am eligble to join the ROTC program at my respected school. However, since my recruiter was not fully aware of commissioning programs, I would like to know how i can qualify for an army National Guard Scholarships. I meet all the requirements to obtain the scholarship but do not know how to get it. I live in New Jersey and currently attending Bergen Community college and Planning to attend Rutgers University. If there is anyone that can help me with this dilemma, I will deeply appreciated.
