The thing about Fort Leonard Wood is that the government should mandate some sort of climate acclimation period.

I haven't been to FLW for training yet, but I live an hour away and I can just imagine how the poor kids from CA and FL feel when they get here.

Take late December for example:

December 27th had a midday low temperature of 3 degrees.

December 29th had a midday low temperature of 62 degrees.

If you don't get something from another recruit you'll pick it up from the weather.

Im sorry, you must've mistaken the army for church camp.

While there at it, they should mandate some sort of climate acclimation period for war as well, because seriously...who wants to fight when your uncomfortable?

Friend, I MOB'd in Indiana during March. It wasnt December weather or anything but it got to about 0-20 degrees if the wind [b]wasnt[/b] blowing. Not to mention it rained half the time there. We spent about 50 days at Indiana. From there we flew to Kuwait where we spent a week.

It was 100 in Kuwait when we got there. The Army didnt give us time to adapt.

They had been attacked by the dreaded red drum army and those were some of the POWs that had been captured.
