Default My method

I don't know if this is good or bad for you but this is what I have been doing. When I work out every other day, I do 400 push ups and 300 sit ups. I do 100 push ups, 100 sit ups, and keep alternating. The first set I do an APFT sort of. I use an online stopwatch and set it for 2:33. The :33 is to give me time to get into position. This seems to be working well. At last drill I did 71 push ups if I remember correctly. Just a few minutes ago I did 80 with about 5 seconds to spare.
It seems to be working for me. Try at your own risk. Time to do some sit ups now. HOOAH!

Right. I've been working up to this slowly. I remember over a year ago I started to feel the same fatigue at 20 push ups as I do now at 60.

I did a 3 mile cross country run today. Felt good and was by myself. Good to see self-motivation and discipline from today's youth.

I work on my upper body strength every other day as well. Usually a little after I wake up I do a comfortable amount of push ups that won't wear me down, but won't be a walk in the park. The last time I checked was 30-40, but I promised myself I won't count until I finish my little "program". After that I take a 30 second to 1 minute break. I again do 30-40 push ups. This is with your hands in regular position. I'm practically done and out of it by this time. After these I hit a little light weightlifting with dumbbells.

Throughout the day (whenever convenient) I complete the wide, and close gripped sets of push ups. After wide push ups, I do a good amount of dive bomber push ups.

With running, every week or two I just try to improve my pace little by little and strive for a personal best during a timed 2 mile run when I get the hang of things.

If anyone has ever done the workout that comes with the Perfect Pushups (great product in my opinion) it's a great program to increase your muscular endurance.

Just my two cents. I'm not as high speed as dindelus here but hey ;)
