Vet looking for advise

I'm a former Marine Intelligence Analyst with 8 years of active duty. I am looking at joining the Florida NG. I'm not too concerned with bonuses. I'm smart enough to know that bonuses are there as an incentive to fill a critical MOS.

I was curious if I would be able to retain my MOS which is equivalent to the 96B field? I loved being in Intel and I was **** good at it. I have been separated for almost 4 years. Would I be able to retain my rank as well?

I guess what would really help is if some other prior service folks wouldn't mind sharing their experiences in this thread to give me an idea of what to expect.

You should be able to keep your rank, I dont know if your MOS will convert. your state recrutier will be able to tel you that.

Prior Marine here as well. I had a over 10 year break in service. Believe me, ARNG is alot different, good and bad. My MOS (35K) used to be with inten and now is aviation. I doubt your USMC mos will convert over. You will probably head to school at Ft Huachuca, Az.
