  • Resignation from the NG terminates Federal Recognition?

Resigning commission from the National Guard automatically terminates federal recognition and one is transferred into the Reserve? Is there anyway that the federal commission is not terminated?

Can you provide an introduction and background as to why you would pose this question?

Resigning from the NG does not automatically terminate your commission. Just getting out of the NG would place back into the IRR and you would then have to resign your commission through HRC.
