    Does anyone know if this included to recently hired officer I was commissioned at the beginning of the month?

    I think you are safe for now although who knows if they are planning to retain that many officers. I would imagine there are going to be some cuts sooner rather than later.

      The article refers to civilian/DA civilian hiring.

          I have an actual copy of the memo; it has nothing to do with people who are actually in the military. It is talking about civilian hiring, and even then no one at this time knows how to interpret it. There has not been follow on information put out yet at this time as to where they are drawing the line in the sand; in addition, some agencies in the Army will have an excpetion to policy.
