    Army seeks Reserve civil affairs majors

    The Army is soliciting applica*tions from civil affairs majors of the National Guard and Army Reserve who want to serve in the active component.

    The voluntary call to active duty was issued Aug. 15 and is designed to access 30 officers into the Regular Army, with 10 each being delegated to year groups 1999, 2000 and 2001.

    Applicants must have no more than four years in grade as an O-4 as of Jan. 1; be airborne-qualified and have credit for completion of Intermediate Level Education before entering active duty. Applicants must also have a top secret-sensitive compartmented information clearance or a top secret clearance eligible for SCI.

    Officers approved for transfer to the active component will incur a three-year active-duty service obligation. □
