  • RSPO in California

    Hello Everyone-

First I would like to thank all the service men and women for reading my post and providing me additional information.

I have an MBA and I've currently completed MEPs and ASVAP. I really want to be an Northern California Army National Guard Officer. I understand I need to complete some weekend RSP's, BCT, and then enter RSPO. What exactly is RSPO? Why wouldn't an 09 Sierra OCS enlistment go directly to an OCS whether Fed, Acc, or State after BCT? Is it because of availability of OCS schools or Officer positions?

Thank you for your time and God Bless,

    Fernando

    Re: RSPO in California

In a nutshell, RSPO is RSP for Officer Cantidates. After Basic, while you are waiting for an OCS slot you will drill with RSPO. That said, if you had a slot right away you could go directly from BCT to OCS like our active counterparts.
