I have been coded 00D for the last 14 months while I await BOLC. (Yes, I COULD have attended much sooner, but family obligations and voluntary branch reassignment have precluded that.) My 18 months TIG will arrive two weeks before I even leave for my branch course. One of my fellow PLs that had been in a similar situation indicated that his eventual DOR was postdated to reflect his 18 month mark AFTER he became branch qualified and promoted. Can anyone verify the veracity of this? As an O1E with 22 years service, potential back pay for maxed O2E would be substantially different during 17+ weeks of TDY.
