  • AT and my ETS date?

My ETS date is july 14 2014 and AT is june 2014 so would I have to go to AT? There were a couple of NCO who before they got out turned in there gear and stayed back at the armory for 2-3 drills without having to go in the field. So will I have to got to AT?

What did your chain of command tell you when you raised this question?

Your commander can waive your participation in AT. Write an intelligent letter stating the facts of your situation, and ask for relief from attending AT. You'll want to express something more significant than the fact that you just don't feel like it. Perhaps you have a conflict with work or school. Commanders tend to grant more to strongly performing Soldiers with reasonable requests made well in advance.

That's what I was thinking. AT is the fun part that makes going to drill worth it...
