25N since that could lead to a path to 255N; even though the NEC/DOIM does all the work. :0) But if you assigned to a Signal Company; you would (should) do a lot of hands-on.

My background is similar to a 25N and there is a great demand for network administrators/engineers out in the civilian market. Excellent pay.

I have a friend who is a 91D. He went on deployment to Afghanistan, his job was to keep gas in the generator. He said the first question you ask is, "Did you put gas in it?"

He was a AIT honor graduate, and he said AIT was very theoretical with not much hands on training; basically he said he studied schematics the whole time.

I don't have extensive knowledge of every single MOS. But I can tell you that with many MOS's it's not like you can walk on a civilian job right out of AIT and plug your training into that career. It may help and it may be a hinderance.

Have you made up your mind yet? As a retired NCO I would recommend Jacksonville (15T-UH-60 Helicopter Repairer). With this job you can step out of the Army and right into a civilian job and earn really good pay. I know from experience. Just make sure while you are in you get all your certifications. It will be easier and cheaper. I repaired the Apache, Cobra, Huey, and Kiowa. It will also afford you the opportunity to become a pilot where you will make even more money. I blow my chance by waiting too long. I was rejected because of age limit. As a 15T you will be the crew chief of the chopper and wherever it goes you go. You will become friends with your pilots and they may give you stick time and that will help you decide whether to stay as a Repairman or become a Pilot.

If not 15T then definitely take one of the 25 Series MOSs because that's dealing with computers which is, as you should know by now, the direction the world is going and companies pay top dollar there too.

                            Best of Luck
