What do these people do? What is a typical day for someone in this position? I've seen a great difference in opinion on this title. The general idea is this job is boring or pursued by lazy people. Give me some reasons why its not.

Well, I cannot give much info on the job itself, I can tell you that my friend has 5 weeks left of AIT and he loves it. You should be able to request a spot in a Infantry Unit. You actually getting the spot is a different story. So, it can be for the person that wants to fight or the one who wants to go to school or avoid combat.

For reasons why it's not: Chemical Warfare is an ongoing threat and will most likely occur doing combat. So, from Legs to Special Forces, they need CBRN Specialist to help combat it and keep our soldiers safe.

Like I said, I'm no expert, but I can relay my buddy loves it and it's very interesting.

PS: CBRN Specialist tend to rank up very fast.

Sorry, but I like to help people and I thought I'd share my friend's thoughts on his MOS.

Plus, "I" cannot give much info BUT, I can relay info that I've been told... Over and over and over again... He is very proud of his MOS

TBH, that's the military in general. My dad is a cop and of the deputy's two sons are both in. They both have deployed and are going to deploy again soon. One is in Alaska and the other is in New York. The one in New York HATES it. The one in Alaska LOVES it and is about to go to Sniper School.

It's all about perceptive and who you will actually life the life, not just your MOS. And if you don't like your MOS, reclass!
