It seems to me everyone has their own opinion to the policy. I've gone to live chat with ANG and they said the tattoo on the back of my neck was not DQ it is all up to the recruiter. I have had a phone call with 2 different recruiters and they all said no neck tattoos i have to have it removed. They didn't bother to ask the size or what it said i felt so brushed off. My uncle said the army national guard was better anyways so i am really looking into joining and have yet to talk to a recruiter. Let me say that it is on the back of my neck and simply says "California" it is not gang related or vulgar and it is covered up in a collar shirt. I would hate to be denied and brushed off again just because of my tattoo. I would like to personally talk to a recruiter face to face but it seems more and more impossible to do so. Any advice? Anyone know what the policy is?
