  • Medical waiver eczema new jersey national guard

Hello. I was recently pdq'd by the doctor at MEPS for what they say is eczema. I do not have a history of this and didnt know I had it until I went to MEPS. My physician confirmed with and wrote a note to my SSGT saying it was a mild case of eczema but that I was cleared for all activity without restriction. There are light marks around my elbows and knees but nothing too serious.

I'm a bit in panick mode as i had planned my life around the NG. I was hoping to go to basic/ OCS in October as I received a 94 on my asvab (130 cum) and passed the ENTIRE physical before getting DQ'd after the final tests. I demorized to say the least.

Do any recruiters/ recruits have any experience with medical waivers and this condition? Do I have a shot at getting this approved?

According to the Medical Regs (AR 40-501, ), eczema is a disqualification for enlistment (as you found out). It does not state that there is a waiver available, but it never hurts to ask a recruiter.
