  • Prior Air Force Discharge

Back in early 2010 after serving only 2 years in the AF I was given a early discharge - General Under Honorable Conditions with a RE Code of 2B and Sep Code of JKN. Since that time I have come back home to California, held the same job for over 2 years working full time and at the same time going to school full time. No trouble with the law or any sort of thing like that. I know all the branches can afford to be really picky about who they let in but is there any shot at me getting back in the military?

According to Table 3-3 in AR 601-210, Active and Reserve Components Enlistment Program, an RE separation code of 2B from the Air Force is ineligible to re-enlist and is also non-waiverable.

It's not going to be easy. Do some research. There might be a path to travel.

Currently the National Guard has suspended waivers for all misconduct discharges.

        Keep checking back.
