  • Medical Waiver?

What will the level of difficulty to get medical waivers for the following reasons?

    1) I had seasonal asthma almost 5 years ago, I was prescribed an inhaler, but haven't used it since then.

    2) I dealt with depression/anxiety for about 4 months (last year) but was treated by a psychologist/psychiatrist and the situation is more than completely resolved, it was very "situational" based.

    Thanks for replying in advance

    Re: Medical Waiver?

I will start this by saying I'm no recruiter so I don't know the details. Asthma as far as I know is a no go if you were diagnosed after the age 13. If you dig deep it is possible to have waived but requires a lot of hoop jumping and even then is unlikely. I'm sure you will find recruiters who will say "it doesn't sound that bad, just forget you had it," but that would be considered fraudulent enlistment.

    I don't know about the depression/anxiety.

The only way to really find out though is talk to a recruiter they're friendly people

    Good luck to you,
