  • correction of date of birth on id card

    hello people the year of date on my military ID card is wrong.what should i do.i went back to the card center and i was told to go my unit for them to corect it which i dont have one because i have not been to basic.my recruiter seems not to know what to do its been over two months since i reported this to him

    You fix it when you get to reception. The RAPID System is utilized to fix the error and issue new ID cards.

      Well not necessarily. To save time, most DS at reception will ask who has an ID card. If you do, they will pull you out from that group and put you in another line for processing.

      Your best bet OP, if you have some time before you ship, is to find any RAPIDS/DEERS site near you. https://rapids-appointments.dmdc.osd.mil/ That, and whatever NG Armory is closest to you should have the capability to produce ID cards so you could walk in. You'll need to bring some kind of documentation, i.e. birth certificate likely, in order to get the correction done.
