  • My basic orders say "PST" for training type...

As stated, My orders for basic say PST on them. Does anyone know what this stands for? I searched on here and Google, however had no luck.

I am 19D headed to Jackson then Benning.

    Thank you!

My bf's son enlisted as a 19D a couple of months ago. Just curious, why are you going to Jackson? I thought all Cavalry Scouts attend OSUT at Ft. Benning, GA?

Sorry Nodoz, I should have clarified my question...The PST I am referring to is stated in my type of training. For example, OSUT.

Robinpugs, I was under that impression as well...which is why I am confused.

Spoke to my readiness NCO, PST is prior service training. Apparently I am going to Jackson (even tho I am 19D) coming home for 2 weeks then shipping to Benning for AIT.

I was in the Air National Guard and in the 5th week of BMT when I was pulled out and discharged for having a tattoo on my chest visible in my dress uniform.
