  • Re-Enlist WOCS?

Got out in 06 (9 "good" years mix Army Guard/Reserve), E5, primary MOS was 31U. Was in/training for a secondary MOS (97B) and completed 2 of 4 modules before my ETS date came up and we decided to leave (had a transfer with my other gov job). I know that the secondary MOS doesnt matter, only completeing 2 of the 4 modules, just curious about coming back in with a WO career track, if 31U was a feeder for anything?

When you say 31U, do you mean Signal Support Specialist (RTO)? If that is the case, the MOS is now 25U.

Yes, Signal Support Specialist. I recently found out that it is now 25U. I understand that 25U is a feeder for one of the 255 (? I believe) mos's, just was not sure if 31U would suffice.
      Thanks

There is no feeder for Signal Warrant Officer. I was a 31B when selected as a Signal Warrant (at the time 251A). But based on observation, 25U will definitely lead to a 255A track. 255N is primarily for 25Ns that handle switching and routing for tactical and strategic networks.

Here are the links for the two Warrant Signal MOSes.

For active duty; majority of selects are E6/E7 with 8 to 12 years of service and with outstanding NCOERs with at least three years of NCO experience. You will need to speak to a WO strength manager in your state for their requirements.

The OP needs to contact a recruiter and put together a pre determination packet to see if he can get the green light before joining again.

+1. I forgot to mention that you need to first enlist before attempting any technical WO track.
