  • 120A transfer to 91 series

I am a CW2 120A and am considering a transfer to a 91 series, probably 915 or such. I am thinking about it since in the civilian world I am an automobile mechanic with over 20 years experience. I probably won't take action on it until sometime in 2015 since I am due to deploy in 2014. Thanks for the input.

Re: 120A transfer to 91 series

Warrant Officers switching MOS are few and far between. The couple that I saw switch were to Signal since Signal is an open MOS anyway. These Warrants have to provide documented proof to proponent to afford the transfer. One good example is CW3 Danberry who manages militarycac.com and came from another MOS track. And he is a reserve component WO.

For example, I was a Border Patrol Agent and have over 4 years active duty Army 31B experience. But that still does not qualify me to transfer to CID Warrant.

I am active so the rules are different. Perhaps your WOSM in your state can advise you on your query.
