    153A Rotary Wing Aviator Training:

    Name: Flight School XXI

    Locations: Ft. Rucker, AL

    Lengths:

    1. Warrant Officer Candidate School
    a. 4 or 6 weeks course depending on previous rank

    2. Pre-Initial Entry Rotary Wing training
    a. JOPD = 1 week
    b. Helicopter Overwater Survival Training (HOST), formally known as Dunker Training = 1 week
    c. Survival, Evasion, Resistance, & Escape (SERE-C) Course = 3 weeks

    3. Initial Entry Rotary Wing (IERW) Core
    a. Pre-Flight = 2 weeks
    b. Contact = 10 weeks (60 flt hrs)
    c. Instruments = 8 weeks (30 sim hrs, 20 flt hrs)
    d. Basic Navigation = 2 weeks (12 flt hrs)

    4. Advanced Aircraft Training (UH-60, CH-47, AH-64, or OH-58)
    a. Lengths vary depending on airframe
    b. Warrant Officer Profession Development = 4 weeks
