  • Age limit for federal and/or state OCS?

What is the age limit on going to OCS (eithet federal or texas state ocs specifically) for the National Gaurd through the 09S route as someone not already in the military without any prior service?

Also, does the age limit apply to when you begin OCS, or the age you must be when you finish?

Moreover, if the age is say 35, does that mean "less than 35" or "up to 35 but not yet 36" etc?

If someone has a link to the current regs that'd be super helpful too.

    Thanks.

    mavs,
The current age criteria for enlisting into the Army National Guard with no prior military service, is that you must enlist on or before your 35th birthday. This is the same policy for those pursuing the 09S option.
If you need any more clarification please do not hesitate to call 1-800-Go-Guard (1800-464-8273). We would be happy to go over your eligibility and get you in contact with your local recruiter and Officer Strength Manager if you wish to move forward.
