Hello, I am a 37yr old male prior service Marine currently in the guard. I had contract issues so i have been non MOsQ for 3 yrs.I have read many helpful posts and wanted some expert opinions. I am a RN with about 16 credits left for my BSN. I wanted some advice as to how to commission. I researched pathways for D.C. As well as state OCS. The D.C. Route seems out of reAch right now because per AMEDS response we are saturated and not having your Bsn would make it difficult to compete for slots. My question is this only the guard (in in NJ) or active duty as well? Secondly, does it make sense to go the traditional route for 18 months. If there is a possibility that I may be eligible to DC some time in the next few years. Finally is it possible to complete NJ's OCs with a full time job, going to school, and raising twins? Any advice would be helpful.
