  • competetivve positions

I had a friend that was pursuing a commission as a 72D in the reserves and he said it was really competitive. They require a lot to get in. But from I have read here it seems that it isn't quite the same in the guard. Is it because there isn't as much call for these officers in the guard? They also seemed to put ALOT more emphasis on gpa and what level of degree with the reserves, and more on experience with the guard. I was wondering why this was the case? I' m sure that no matter which branch all are qualified, just wondering why the difference.

The position itself is pretty rare and if it's available, I would hazard a guess to say that it is super competitive as well...
