I am currently in Army ROTC on scholarship and am trying to decide between the Guard and the Reserves to fulfill my service obligation. I am currently in Utah on this scholarship, and I am planning on applying to PA school. I have heard of some states that give in-state tuition to Guardsmen and there are a few schools I am interested in that are located in these states. My question is, is that if I owe around 7 years to the Utah National Guard, but then am accepted to say a PA school in Kansas or New Mexico, would my IST request be denied due to the scholarship through the Utah Guard?
