    Officer/Warrant Officer Accession Bonus (OAB)
    1. Minimum 6 year term of service upon commission.
    2. Must not reach the mandatory retirement age of 60 during the term of agreement.
    3. Receiving Federal Tuition Assistance (TA) is allowed.
    4. Officer cannot receive the Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) or Chaplain Loan Repayment Program (CLRP) simultaneously with this incentive. A Soldier that has enlisted under the O9S SLRP program is also not eligible. Recipient may use the Montgomery GI Bill Kicker with this incentive providing they meet the requirements.
    5. Officer must be accessioned into a valid, vacancy with the grades O-1 and O-2 or W-2. Refer to the regulation for more information on Tier levels and exceptions.
    6. They must also not fill an excess, over-strength, or manually-loaded vacancy and be in the position for which they received the incentive on the commission date. No exceptions authorized.
    7. Officer cannot receive both an enlisted incentive and OAB. If a Soldier has an active incentive bonus, they must have the incentive terminated without recoupment effective the day prior to commission/appointment and before the OAB is approved.
    8. The OAB agreement must be signed no more than 90 days before the commission/appointment date into the Army National Guard.
    9. The Soldier must have never have held a commission as an Officer or Warrant Officer in any of the Armed Forces of the United States.
    10. A Soldier in a Technician status is not eligible, even if deployed. Refer to the regulation for more details on temporary and indefinite technicians.
    11. A Soldier on Active Guard and Reserve (AGR) status is not eligible, including those deployed.
    12. Concurrently participating in financial assistance programs or other federal benefits may not be allowed. Refer to regulation for Disqualifying Federal Programs OAB/OAFB list for more details.
    13. An Officer must not have received any ROTC scholarship or serving on an obligation.
    14. An Officer may not be under any type of Suspension of Favorable Personnel Actions (SFPA).
    15. A Soldier transferred to the ARNG MMA and coded "999M" is not eligible while in a medically non-available status.
    16. An Officer (does not included Warrant Officer) must agree to serve in the AOC for which the incentive was awarded. A normal career progression is allowed providing the Officer is in the primary position holder.
    17. A Warrant Officer must agree to serve in the MOS for which the incentive was awarded for the full length of their agreement. Exceptions are determined on a case by case basis due to promotions and/or acceptance to staff and command positions.
    18. The OAB agreement is not valid if signed more than 90 days prior to the execution date of an Oath of Office and/or not signed by an approved witness at the time the document is executed.
    19. The OAB incentive is a lump-sum payment processed upon completion of Basic Officer Leaders Course (BOLC)/Warrant Officer Basic Course (WOBC) within 24 months of appointment and verification of qualifications. Refer to the regulation for more information on Tier levels and payment amounts.
