Alright, I'm new here so I haven't explored yet. But, I have a question about the 2 Mile Run on the APFT & what it's like at RSP. I'm 17, I got my GED today, and I'm doing a bunch of paperwork July 10, 2013, this includes the ASVAB. I'm enlisting into the NJ National Guard hopefully as 11b. The 2 mile run question; How do I manage to get my time to 13 minutes? I do jog every night, and I probably knockout a mile in 9 minutes, maybe 10. The sit ups & push ups I can knock out easily, I just want to know about the running. I do stretch my legs before I jog, and I jog every night if the weather's good and I use the weekends as relax days. All I need to know is; How can I knock out the 2 miles in 13 minutes? After about 3/4 of a mile jogging I start breathing heavily, and I'll have to stop. So actually, it's more of a how do I control my breathing and be better at running? What is RSP like? Is it basically just a miniature basic training in one weekend per month? That's all my questions for now.
