  • Some questions regarding my first APFT...

    Okay so you have the 1 minute reps for Pre-IET(13 push-ups, 17 situps, and run a mile in 8:30 or less). But to get a 60(or higher), you need 40 or more push-ups in 2 minutes, 50 or more situps in 2 minutes, and run 2 miles in 16:36 or less. I know you need a 60 to pass this thing each time(even if it's you first APFT), but what do the 1 min. reps count towards?

    The half-APFT as I like to call it is just for pre-IET purposes. You have to pass the full APFT to graduate BCT and after that you will never take a half-APFT ever again.

      Check your contract, it may be in there that you would have to successfully pass the half-APFT before getting shipped to BCT....

      Well to put your mind at ease.....a 50 in each event will get you through to the red & white phase but you need a passing of 60 per event to reach Family Day as well as graduation!
