  • AIT (Training)

If you're AIT is a certain length (for example 6months or more) , can you're family join you where you are located? Like you're children. Does the guard provide housing?

    Re: AIT (Training)

    Short answer is "no".

Are there creative solutions/options to this, sure.

Didn't you do a Family Care Plan & have this worked out? This is "supposed" to alleviate any undue burden while you are training.

I can empathize as I will be away over 7 months.

I am just starting the process. Getting my information before I actually join the guard. I thought I read somewhere if you are training for an extended amount of time. There is a possibility of them being stationed where you are.

From what I've read, it only applies if you were stationed somewhere, which is after BCT and AIT.
