  • OTH not waiverable?

I know I've read here somewhere that an Other Than Honorable discharge is not waiverable. Where does it state so in Army regs? I looked at AR 135-100 and unless I'm reading it wrong, it appears that it is waiverable.

    Thanks!

Surely with all the knowledge on this board someone must know the answer!

AR 135-500 applies to appointment of officers in the active duty army, I could go into it and find the exact paragraph that says but instead I'll deal with national guard enlistment, which is governed by ECM FY-07, and applicable SMOMs. The table of discharge narratives and waivers is table 2-1, page 30, line 38 which says

"Other than honorable, bad conduct or dishonorable character of service or who were discharged as a result of a qualitative management prgraom": Waiver authority: NON-WAIVABLE see note 4

Note 4: "Ineligible for enlistment - no waiver authorized"

      Typed word for word
