  • 250N & Cisco Certification

    Hi All,

I'm very close to becoming a WOC, a waiver-less packet has been sent in for Proponent review already. I have chosen a 250N slot in my unit, and heard from an old Signal Warrant Officer about a recent 250N who got phase 1 waived because he was Cisco certified. I'm a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), does anyone know anything specific I can reference about this?

    Thank you!

I've seen OBC waived for warants but it has to be granted by your proponent/school house.

Ok, I found some information to answer my own questions sort of:

      http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sourc...BWgS_g&cad=rja

"Phase 1, CISCO training for all three Signal WO MOSs, can be taken at the Professional Education Center, Camp Robinson, AR. This is ITTC-001 consisting of two phases for a total of 6 weeks. It is school code 922. These 2 phases can be taken back-to-back or sequentially depending on your schedule and personal situation.

The CISCO requirement may be waived depending on your experience, education, and current CCNA or CCNP certification on a case-by-case basis.

Questions concerning the above information or opportunities for information technology professionals to become Signal Warrant Officers can be addressed to

      Randall E. Hirsch
      CW5, ARNGUS
ARNG Senior Warrant Officer Signal Advisor
United States Army Signal Center and Fort Gordon
      Room 709 Signal Towers
      (706) 791-8183
      DSN 780-8183
      randall.hirsch@us.army.mil"

The material doesn't seem to be dated, but it has to be somewhat current as CW5 Hirsch is currently working in that position. Still looking for more information though.
