When you have a physical profile and it expires, do you have to have the injury reexamined?

I was injured and have yet to get my LOD form to go to the VA and have it reexamined. The injury is not totally healed yet and my profile is about to expire.

    Re: Profile

They will recheck your injury, and more than likely extend your profile, its pretty common. Some profiles age off, like sprained ankles and such, but with a LOD involved, that means docs are involved. Also check the fine print on the profile regs. I am pretty sure, they cant give you a APFT for a while after a profile expires. As odd as the Army can be, they know that you can quickly reinjure yourself without the proper rehab time.

Side Note, keep copies and anything related to a LOD. A lot of the time, parts of them fall through the cracks or lack follow through. Always have copies and never expect your case to be worked unless your talking to them. I have seen good LOD's and some very jacked up LODs.
