Is there a limit to what you are allowed to do? I'm a soon to be 35 Fox and want to do every school I possible can that won't overlap or simply be a waste of time. Severe adrenaline Junkie and I actually want to find the cieling to my potential if there is one I've pretty much done everything in the civilian world andd ahh getting off topic

Can I take as many schools as I want as long as i get the NCO to send me? Would it be a waste if I for example, took mountain warfare but then attempted Ranger school which incorperates some of the same training? So far I'm trying to take Air Assualt while in PA until I get back down to FL where I can join Airborne and so on... and whatever else I can get into.

Good luck getting most of those schools. Even airborne's hard to get.

Well, I can get Assualt and Mountain in my contract via the recruiter if I wanted as told but Airborne would have to be after I transfer back south (since I'm really a FL resident) since PA doesn't do it apparently. Is there a limit or none aslong as I can get in. I don't see any reason other than my MOS on getting in but if I keep all my scores pretty much top-notch I don't see why I could still be held back.

Most states won't fund those HOOAH courses unless you are in a unit that is authorized those slots. No Airborne. Our Sapper Company can't even get Sapper School. Good Luck.

Well already was offered the two so I would have to aim for an Airborne unit in FL to be able to get sent?

Really my only question was is there a Limit, if there isnt I'll find a way

there's no limit, and you'll have a hard time in Intel getting cool guy schools especially if there's no reason to send you.

There is no limit. It depends on your Training NCO. I'm a quartermaster with Airborne, Rigger, and I leave for air assualt jun 20th. Kiss up or do what you have to to get the schools. Don't forget about other schools though: combatives, mountain warefare, non-lethal weapons, etc. They won't give you badges, but also help give you other skills.

Well wouldn't it be a good possibility if all my PT scores, AIT etc are top notch.

No one is going to care that you went to AIT or scored high on PT tests, it's kind of a luck of the draw. Sorry, either they'll have the slots or they won't, and if they do, the slots don't always become available to the privates first.

OP, it really chalks up to what unit you're in, if you're in some BSB, you probably won't get to go to Ranger school. Everything's about slots and the priority is usually for people to get qualified for their slots before anything (an expensive task).

I'm in an airborne unit and still have soldiers waiting to go for the last year, so think about how hard it will be for you there.

Your PT score matters, but thats just to pass the prerequisite. After that theres other issues, such as state funding, state slots, and your Training NCO. If he is ok with putting you into the course, then he has to ensure that theres enough money to pay you for the school. If thats ok, then it depends if your state has slots. if it does, your in. If not, then you will get put into a Wait status. Then you just have to wait till a few weeks before the course starts, when the other states who didn't send aynone opens up their slots. If that happens you just have to pray that your wait number is low, so that you get a reserved slot before the class is full.

Keep your PT score up to hold up your end of the bargin... after that it's all in the state's and unit's hands.

Alright fellas. You're all in the same army. Let it be. The point of the post is do what you can, everything else isn't your lane so don't sweat the little stuff.

                              Your dog smells like cheese.

I know a PFC who is a 92Y (Supply Specialist) that works in the Division that has Airborne and Air Assault.

Just keep at it and you might be able to grab a slot. Try to get a lot in on your contract that you can.

Yo, dere is alot of hateraid goin on round heere, homies.
